1. To participate in the second offline tournament for Heroes 5 "BeltWay", you must register on our website and also leave an application in this thread.

P.S. This tournament is held as part of the general Cunningham tournament, therefore all information, as well as its conduct and results, will be displayed in that section.

2. The tournament is conducted on the Russian version of Heroes 5 from 1C, game version 1.5. The save will be generated on the Russian version 1.5.
Note:Please be aware that the tournament is held on the original version of Heroes 5, WITHOUT THE "Hammers of Fate" ADD-ON.

3. The goal of the game is to defeat the enemy.
The result will be evaluated primarily by minimum time.
If several players have an equal completion time, the best will be determined by the sum of primary skills (attack, defense, magic, knowledge) INCLUDING EQUIPPED ARTIFACTS; if a favorite is still not determined here, then by the amount of mercury.

4. The following are prohibited in the tournament:

1) Using cheats, codes, mods, as well as additional programs that can change the game structure during the "final" run.

2) Digging up the Tear of Ashan without fully opening the puzzle map.

3) Restarting or any other modification of the starting save is prohibited.

4) Discussing the tournament on the forum while it is in progress is FORBIDDEN!!!
(Players who violate this rule automatically exclude themselves from playing the tournament; their results will not be counted and will be annulled).

5. During the tournament run, the player is obliged to save intermediate saves for each game day. Also, make replays of EVERY battle.
Intermediate saves/replays may be requested by the tournament leader to verify the honesty of the run. If the use of cheat codes or errors and game features explicitly prohibited in the rules are detected, the player will be immediately excluded from the tournament.

6. Along with the final save, players are required to send a description of the tactics for the final battle (the harder the battle, the more detailed).
If winning depends on morale\luck rolls\specific actions of computer players, a full description of the battle is required—one that allows it to be repeated.
It is also desirable to send a replay of the final battle. Especially if it is quite difficult and cannot be won by auto-battle.

7. Send the final save to the email address g-andrew@mail.ru. The sent save must contain the tournament number (2), the participant's number in the application table, the abbreviation (BW - BeltWay), and the player's Nick. Example: 2_1_BW_Alan.sav.

8. The tournament starts on June 1 and will last until June 30 (inclusive). The result will be announced on July 3, 2007.

9. After receiving your save, you will see in the application table that:

save accepted - indicated by a Bold Nick
save counted - indicated by an italicized bold Nick

Saves will only be considered from players who are in this table, so make your applications IN ADVANCE!!!

1. Download the save and map.

2. The downloaded save must be placed on your computer in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\XXX\My Documents\My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V\Profiles\YYY\Saves, where XXX is your Windows account and YYY is your profile in the Heroes game. To avoid confusion, it is recommended to create a separate profile for the tournament.
And place the map in the folder C:\Games\Heroes5\Maps

3. Load from it and start playing at any time convenient for you, while remembering to make daily saves and battle replays.

4. After reaching the final action (after which victory occurs), you must save again.

5. With the final save, describe this last step in detail (most likely a battle); then the results will be processed faster and there will be fewer suspicions of cheating!!!

6. A full description of the tournament map is encouraged (optional). If such descriptions are provided, a contest for the best description will be held; 10 of them (the very best) will take their honorable place in the "Hall of Fame" section!

7. Send this save to the specified address (in the rules of this tournament).

8. Wait for the results.

Please explain, as I haven't done this before.

Judging by the requirement to record each battle, the game should be fast-paced and, once again, not geared towards casual players... but still, write to me. I hope to figure out what's what, get the right version, and take second to last place in 3 weeks!!!

In version 1.5, after the battle, there is a "save recording" button in the log, located on the left at the bottom, under the losses (or something like that, I didn't really pay attention to the name).

The requirement to save every battle is done with one goal in mind. Tournaments for the 5th game are not yet well-established on our portal, so we can't say in advance which battles are unimportant and which will raise questions. Therefore, please save everything; a few extra megabytes won't burden your hard drive, and in case of anything, it will be easier for you.
