Driven by the cold breath of frost, wild snowflakes swirled behind the closed shutters. The icy seal of the north enveloped the walls of the shelter with an immutable, invisible web. Thousands of curved, whitish strands, like the branches of a gnarled tree, stretched towards the inhabitant of the room, receding only before the blazing hearth. Leaning against the wooden headboard of his bed, the wandering Knight felt the insignificance of his own existence as never before. His body had turned into a lifeless vessel; only in his eyes, darting across the pages, did a single spark of life still flicker. Like a warm fireplace, with each breath, he realized the pleasant silence of the absurdity of human struggle against the inevitable. Soon, the flame will die out, the invisible walls surrounding him will shatter with a crash, and myriads of sparkling fragments will lull the burial ground beneath his feet to sleep. His native, dear, beloved Void is already waiting for him. He has won in this life, and the reward of the merciful mistress will be eternal peace. The deservingness of this prize did not concern his tranquil, book-induced mind. Let the renowned philosophers ponder this. Closing the book, he was surprised by a new sound that disturbed the fragile harmony of the crackling hearth and the howling blizzard in the courtyard. Hours passed, which, however, had no meaning in the useless rhythm of the existential cycle. The Voidwalker recalled a conversation about the western expedition. Without a doubt, this will become an epic ascension to Nothing, although any ordinary death would have suited him as well. Stretching slightly, he felt that his mind had once again returned to a pleasant emptiness.
On this note, Hargon was ready to move on to the next day (if I haven't forgotten anything for the tutorial).
The mechanics of the mounted tournament. 1. Initiative. Initiative equals the horse's SPD + 1/2 of the character's initiative. The winner of the initiative roll receives a 20% bonus to accuracy and a +5% chance to knock the opponent out of the saddle. 2. Clash. The character can aim at the opponent's shield or helmet. If aiming at the shield, accuracy equals the character's accuracy + the horse's SPD + 5 accuracy for each level of the polearm skill - 5 for each level of the shield skill of the opponent. The chance to knock the opponent out of the saddle is (attacker's strength + horse's strength - defender's resistance - 5 for a knight's saddle) * 5%. If neither is knocked out of the saddle, the clash is won by the one who wins the accuracy roll. If aiming at the helmet, accuracy equals the character's accuracy + 5 accuracy for each level of the polearm skill, evasion equals 10 against the horse's SPD. The chance to knock the opponent out of the saddle is (attacker's strength + horse's strength * 2 + DEF/5 - defender's resistance - 5 for a knight's saddle) * 5%. If one hits the shield and the other hits the helmet, the one who hits the helmet wins. If both hit the helmet, the one who rolls higher accuracy wins. If both are knocked out of the saddle, it is declared a draw.
As Aurelius tightened the straps on his armor, preparing for the tournament, he remembered the past. His last tournament was ten years ago: a sunny day, a helmet that was too heavy, and a mind eager to inflict and receive pain. Back then, he thought that the sweet life of an aristocrat would last forever. Now, looking at his reflection in the tarnished helmet, he doesn't see a carefree young man; he sees a penniless vagrant, counting every penny. And yet… the deeply ingrained thirst for pain is rekindling in his mind. Pain, pain will take him far, far away from thoughts of his cursed life and his murdered beloved.
Aiming at the helmet.

Added 6 minutes later Fixed a couple of bugs in the tourist's mechanics. Reminder for the foot tourist: you can choose any weapon from the basic ones (check the craftsman).

Now that’s what I call real manly art! The updated Ottar returns to Master Gasu.
“There’s still plenty of time before evening… don’t you feel like giving a few lessons, Master?” Blooddrinker inquired.
It’s a pity that tentacles and male wrestling are mutually exclusive paths to gaining power. Although… it depends on where the tentacles grow from.
when the existing deviation deflected the new one.. Author
- Granted.
I'll clarify about the fists/gauntlets (in case they don't have any) and then I'll go to the bathhouse. are the bonuses from the bathhouse for a day or permanently?

-- The knuckles will be found.
Sandar and Aidan arrive at the bathhouse.

It seems that Hargon's will and charisma don't quite match up... If his will is 9, then his charisma should be 10, or something like that (9 from will + 1 from the burnt medal).
Ничто не возникает из ничего и ничто не пропадает бесследно. Если где-то чего-то убудет, то в другом месте добавится. (Закон сохранения).
to whom? :) let's quickly finish our tasks and start fresh the next day
Sandar and Aidan wash for free, then rent a room in the tavern. The rest of the time, Aidan draws a battle mage, and Sandar goes to train his skills(?) Author
Skill training: 1 point for 4 hours
is this one point out of 6, like Nebka, or one point of strength?
And Constable Sandar didn't teach him any training... You can wrestle in the bathhouse. One of six.

Ottar strains his memory, trying to remember what else he hasn't learned.
