The priestess and head of this temple was a woman named Inkarvillea Seiso. Judging by the modest horns that adorned her head, her ancestors included both Kaolians and humans.

— Yes, I saw him shortly before your group returned. If my eyes didn't deceive me, he returned to the city in a hurry and soon left the temple again, but this time with a sword at his side.

“What a strange girl,” the stranger commented when Coriel began to express her thoughts in writing, and when she started reading what was written, she frowned again, this time even more than before. “Hmm… so you just happened to meet me? And how am I supposed to know you’re not lying? Judging by your appearance, you could very well have some humans in your family tree.”

Incarville's words could not fail to cause concern – something clearly went wrong, and every minute now was likely crucial.
– Did he speak to anyone during his visit? If not, do you happen to remember the direction he went in?

— If I’m not mistaken, the Arcane Sisters were talking to him about something, but I’m not sure if that exchange of words had any meaning.

After thanking the priestess, the Kaol inhabitant used the only lead they currently had and decided to question the aforementioned trio about Mukus.

Nao involuntarily glanced at her "constitution," then frowned in annoyance – what was she doing right now? After everything that had happened, standing here and talking to all sorts of suspicious people... Maybe she should ask her to take her to the leader, if she wasn't acting on her own and was part of some group? How rational would that be?
She really didn't want to think about all of this...
“Apparently, you can't know,” the girl sighed and folded her hands in a pleading gesture. “Listen. I've had a great misfortune... Those monkeys... My friends also became their victims.”
“What else do you need from me? Even the information you have is excessive, isn't it? Just go with Dante...”

"Mookus-***kus," puffed up Rufa and Lyka replied, refusing to answer further. "Don't be surprised," Luppa commented wearily, "these two decided to remove the sign from Zamia's shop for some reason, and Mr. Mookus came to scold them for it." "Bee-bee-bee, it wasn't him who came to scold us, it was you who told him, you traitor!" "Traitor!"

Nao involuntarily glanced at her "constitution," then frowned in annoyance – what was she doing right now? After everything that had happened, standing here and talking to all sorts of suspicious people... Maybe she should still ask her to take her to the leader, if she wasn't acting on her own, but as part of some group? How rational would that be?

Hearing about Zamia and the shop she had recently tried to visit, Ayrllis began to form a rough idea of what had happened. It was likely that after Mukus returned to Zamia with the sign, the conversation with her caused the strange behavior that Inkarvilleya had described. Especially considering that Zamia's shop was now closed.
— A heavy burden of being an older sister? — the Kaolian smiled understandingly, then returned to more pressing matters. — Perhaps you overheard where Lord Mukus went shortly before my visit?

“Well…” Luppa scratched his head. “He didn’t tell us, but the sign said the store would open a couple of hours later because the owner was going to the lake to gather medicinal herbs. But… these idiots stole the sign a long time ago, early in the morning.”

“So, that’s how it is,” the girl said thoughtfully, tapping the back of her fist against her palm, as if she had just figured something out. “Well, thank you for the answers,” she said politely, nodding, and then added in a low voice, “and good luck with your sisters.” After that, Ayrlys asked the priestess about the location of the lake and gathered her group around her again. “Guys, we need to hurry to the local lake. I’ll explain the reason on the way.”

— Friends from some Lafrenia and Orion...?

For some reason, the girl's eyes flashed with anger.
"You dare compare those who died with these murderers... Although, I'm just as bad, why did I even say it, so that all sorts of strange people could slander the names of the fallen? It was clear that this lily, whoever she is, doesn't watch her tongue, and she only has bad thoughts..."
"You don't have anything sacred, so you decided to mock the memory of those who are dear to me by comparing them to strangers? If you are determined not to let me go, despite my cooperation, then just do what you intended."
The girl calmed down a bit and added:
"Or let me go..."

On the way to the lake, the group discovers four unconscious sprites. From somewhere near the lake, the sound of metal scraping could be heard.

— Halt, who goes there? — As the group approached the royal villa, one of its guards, clearly of foreign appearance, stopped them. — It's not a good idea to be here, and it's even illegal!

By the way, I must admit that this guard, despite appearing in two scenes so far, is still in my personal top list of NPCs (of course, after Raum and Nolina). He's so vividly portrayed as this Russian guy with a distinctive accent, like a cheerful soldier from a fairy tale. I hope we won't have to fight him later... Yeah, right...

In response, her companion merely grunted in annoyance and headed in the opposite direction, leaving Coriel alone with her thoughts.

Liliya stood still for a moment, pursing her lips, staring at the ground, and clenching her fists. Why was she pulled out of her thoughts because of some nonsense? She was tormented with questions, and the wound that was already bleeding was opened even wider, and then she just left? However, Coriel is at least alive, so maybe she shouldn't complain?
Never mind. Now it's important that Raum's and the others' sacrifice wasn't in vain.
Liliya gathered herself and refocused her thoughts to plan the words for her future book. She resumed her journey to Arven.
