| The two-hundred-year history of Serberia is closely tied to bloody armed conflicts and technological progress, which have led to the unprecedented growth of this state's influence on the international stage of Visteria. Serberia is a country of great culture, known for its theatrical performances (notably opera), tournaments, art studios, and museums, whose exhibitions feature both artifacts of Serberian culture and curiosities from other nations captured during military victories. Serberia has preserved the strength of the aristocratic spirit, and although after King Albert's ascension to the throne commoners were granted equal rights with the aristocracy, the cultural differences between the two social classes have persisted to this day. The foundation of Serberia's national consciousness and the secret of its modern success are a sense of patriotism and the doctrine of the virtue of labor, which extend to both common people and the upper class regardless of origin and financial status. Within the kingdom, it is considered that the practice of martial arts is necessary for maintaining the health of body, spirit, and mind, as a result of which schools dedicated to various combat arts are present in almost all cities of the country. Currently, Serberia is the richest and most powerful country in Visteria, but it also has a dark side — the king is in a coma and has no heir, while the queen rarely appears in public and, according to rumors, real power in the country is concentrated in the hands of influential representatives of the armed forces. |
