For a long time, HeroesWorld had absolutely no support for displaying content on mobile devices.

According to statistics, the number of views from mobile devices increases every year.

In this regard, a major update was prepared, 90% of which is precisely the adaptation of styles and display templates for mobile devices.

At the moment, the installation of the update is complete.

All forum functionality remains the same, with the exception that a new WYSIWYG message editor has been installed and some icons have been updated.

When displayed on a PC with a high resolution, the appearance of the forum should change slightly, but for mobile devices, the site automatically adapts using CSS styles to display content in a more convenient way for a small resolution.

Unfortunately, I don't have the opportunity to conduct a full-scale test, but I have tested some basic forum usage scenarios, and the main test should be carried out during the use of the forum.

If something doesn't work as it should or is displayed incorrectly, or if you have suggestions on how to make it display better and more conveniently, please leave everything in this topic; we will fix and improve it.

According to statistics, more than 80% of users use browsers from the Chromium family, so testing and adaptation of styles was primarily carried out for this family of browsers. Therefore, if you leave a message about the incorrect display of something, please indicate which browser/version you are using, as well as what your screen resolution is.

Could you please slightly reduce the default font size in the text message editor? The constant line breaks, combined with the large size of each character, make it difficult to quickly scan the written text and also prevent users from getting a sense of how the text will look with different size adjustments (from 3 to 7). Also, the "Preview" option is not available in quick replies.

For example, I removed bold and subscript text, but it won't remove hyperlinks. On the PC version, the website has become too large; very little information fits on the screen, even the website logo doesn't fit. I have to reduce the zoom in the browser to 70% to make it look like it used to, but with that zoom level, scrolling the page becomes very slow, and I have to scroll the mouse wheel a lot. For me personally, this is uncomfortable.

Thank you for your feedback. The font size has been reduced; the problem should be resolved.

I wasn't sure whether to report this or not, as the site is still being finalized, I believe. But it’s better to be safe than sorry.

As you can see, there are very large empty spaces between posts. Also, in Chrome, the icon for a new post is somehow on one line, while the title is on another.

In addition, when I posted this message, I noticed that in Firefox, the horizontal width of the column with information about the authors of the posts gets messed up, specifically when posting. It becomes slightly different for messages from different authors. Although this is already a minor issue.
The "Save" button in the post editor (not extended mode) does not work; I have to switch to extended mode to edit it. This also happens in Firefox.

It's already much better with the new fonts. But there are still a few issues:

Firefox, fullHD

1. On my PC, the website logo is too large and doesn't fit. However, on the same Firefox on my laptop, there is no such problem.



2. The pagination panel is disproportionate to the other elements and is too large. When the page numbers are three digits, as seen in the screenshot, there isn't enough graphical space for the panel's width.



3. In forum posts, the column containing user information takes up too much space, creating a lot of empty space, about 15-20%. I think it can be safely reduced.

I noticed another issue: when you enter a section, topics with new, unread messages are no longer highlighted in bold, as they used to be.

The interface for displaying moderator statistics doesn't fit on the screen in the mobile version.

The next phase of updates has been completed, and it was implemented gradually starting last weekend. Many of the issues described above have been resolved. Below is a list of the main changes:

• A new visual editor has been installed (one of the leading options currently available, see https://www.tiny.cloud). It fully supports HTML. BB codes are still supported, but they are automatically converted to HTML after saving. This means they are only relevant when creating or quoting a message; everything will ultimately be in HTML.
• Image responsiveness has been improved; they should now display better on both mobile and desktop versions.
• The background in the header is now more flexible and should display correctly on any screen resolution.
• The overall content area of the forum is limited to a width of 1920px. On higher resolutions, there will be sidebars with the background.
• The quick access menu items are now more responsive and occupy the optimal available space.
• Pages with tables that didn't fit on the screen now have the option for vertical scrolling with a swipe.
• The tournament report submission page has been updated. The functionality now includes saving the entered data in the browser before sending it to the server, which prevents data loss in case of a page reload with partially entered data.
• In the mobile version, signatures and user information in posts are now hidden by default behind spoilers.
• A large number of templates that were not adapted for mobile in the previous iteration have now also been adapted for the mobile version (forum registration, calendar, user profile page, and others).
• Avatar size has been adjusted.
• The page switching block has been adjusted and made more responsive.
• The display of unread topics in bold has been fixed.
• And other less significant changes.

Further updates will be released in smaller batches. Please continue to report any display issues found on the forum in this thread. All comments will be taken into account (please remember to specify the screen resolution and browser; without this, it may be difficult to reproduce the issue)
