...it's easy and relatively simple to do, provided you use the appropriate tools! It's like hammering a nail – you can use a screwdriver and/or pliers, a drill, etc., but it's better and more effective to do it with a hammer!
As far as I understand, my method doesn't differ from the proposed one by a single gram – essentially, it's an enlarged copy of the image, colored black, and placed under the image. The problem here is that this method is ideal for regular shapes, but if you enlarge a complex shape, there will be mismatches between the image and its enlarged copy, which is used to create the outline.
