I disagree. Combining Gremlins, Gargoyles, and Golems can yield very good results. You can defeat almost everyone with minimal losses (and if you have War Machines or Tent skills, you can even drop the word "almost"). IMHO, in large battles, mages and titans seem somewhat underwhelming.
