People generally praise this film and use it as an example for the seventh episode, but I, on the contrary, liked it less. Yes, Rogue One had some pleasant moments and unusual characters in terms of concept, but overall, it feels like this: "Guys, we have a lot of ideas, we need to fit them into an hour and a half, hop-hop-hop, quickly, don't slow down!" It feels like you're watching in fast forward; the events on the screen unfold without any transitions or concern for the characters' motivations, or even the consistency of their personalities.
But there is one big positive point (spoiler: everyone dies). The film is self-contained. Was it worth creating such a rush for this? Well, I don't know.
5.5/10 Watchable, but I would have preferred to spend my time differently. Considering that this is Star Wars, which is one of those franchises that you usually want to watch by default...
