I think the Summoner will only be useful in combination with the Neptune creature, which will be evolved.

Unfortunately, this mega-creature is unlikely to survive even one turn. And they can only be played simultaneously with 10 Action Points, which isn't too difficult for a dragon, perhaps, but by that time, you can already start using better cards than evolving mega-creatures (and it's not even certain that the evolution point will remain by that time).
