Player of the Year 2016

I read the thread, and I agree with Dark on some points; this year, no one really stood out in terms of results. Previously, you could check the Hall of Fame to see who performed well, but that section hasn't been updated since 2014.
As far as I remember and can see, Hell won Favorites-8, I won Only HL-3, and Kobra won the HotA Blitz tournament. I don't think there were any other major tournaments; all the second places and wins in qualifiers are just... meaningless. If I missed any tournaments, feel free to correct me.
It's funny to watch how some people choose based on the principle of "he hasn't won yet, let's give it to him." In my opinion, this completely undermines the purpose of the tournament.
I want to vote for Amster. I've played against him a couple of times. I don't know him well, and we haven't really talked much; he's neither a friend nor an enemy. But I noticed his results last year; he beat some good players, and he's currently doing well in the Facebook League. Since there isn't a clear winner based on awards, I'd highlight him for his improvement in gameplay.
And to the organizers: please move this thread higher up; it's not very visible down here.
