In general, my latest thoughts revolve around the fact that there wasn't much polyphonic singing in Russia at that time, but it could easily have existed in Ukraine. But still, it's unclear who they could have captured there... Maybe it's related to the redrawing of territories or something like that. After all, peace was concluded shortly after the Battle of Poltava; how did it end there? Pskov went to Russia, and some other northern territories... Maybe it has something to do with them?
