Haven vs. Chaos

In my opinion, obtaining first-level (and sometimes second-level) Haven magic through universities and altars isn't very difficult, but it's almost essential, especially for Chaos. And if you're playing against Haven, it's worth taking. Even if you don't plan on developing a specific magic school, you can still get a lot of useful spells from its first level. As they say, if they offer it, take it.
