Why give 4 (four!!!) starting heroes on such a small map? Couldn't you have managed with just one?

Are the heroes not meant to be carried over?

The script for the last scenario is written for a specific set of heroes, totaling eight. Originally, there were eight heroes from each scenario, but I decided to limit it to four from each scenario.

The heroes do carry over to the third scenario.
