Australia has a very specific fauna, yes, but spiders are unlikely to be a major problem. The main issues are snakes (which can also climb anywhere), alligators, and to some extent koalas ;)

Lykoi are cool. They're scarier than nuclear war, and that's what makes them good :3

I wouldn't say so. They do resemble lemurs. They just look a bit unkempt, as if they're dirty.
