Come on, they just prick your finger, and that's it; you only need a few drops of blood. But they told me scary stories about taking blood from a vein, about how one doctor wanted to draw about 15 test tubes at once to get more samples for analysis :D
And they also take donor blood. I know a guy who has been donating blood regularly for several years.
