Anyone who thinks that version 4 is better than version 3 should immediately suggest what to do in the playoffs if the score is tied 2:2 in the decisive game.

If there is a tie 2-2 in the 3rd round of the playoffs, the result of the match between the players in the 1st slot will be decisive.
This means the cumulative score over 3 games (3-0 or 2-1), as a tie in a single game will be prohibited in the playoffs.
