Well, you know, sometimes the requirements state one thing, but in reality...
The eighth game consumes fewer resources, at least according to my subjective impressions. Which may not be entirely accurate, as I haven't conducted any proper tests ;) But the tenth game, on the same tablet where the eighth game used to run, already experiences some lag.
