"Newcomer - 2016. Winter"

The resource distribution seemed mediocre. There were ranged units everywhere, and Devil's Guards. On the plus side, I got Dessa and a 6,000-unit guard along the only road leading from the zombie area. Since I only had one resurrection left, while my opponent still had two, I started playing differently. On day 113, I cleared out the zombies and, feeling elated, I lost everything on the guard protecting the gorgon lair – 35 Guardians with a Grand Sorcerer... In the end, I had no money, no army, nothing. I thought about giving up, but since it was a tournament, I decided to keep going. To get heroes, I started visiting the abandoned obelisks. At the very first obelisk, I found a match, and the Grail turned out to be right under my castle! Hope appeared. In the first week, I only placed mages in the fortress. I started digging for the Grail, as the heroes didn't have anything else to do anyway. In the end, I dug it up on the seventh attempt on day 124. And that's when things started to look up! By the end of the week, I had placed a Naga in the castle with the Grail. In the third week, I cleared out the 12,000-unit guard in the next zone, took two condors there, and leveled up Dessa. Meanwhile, my opponent was gathering three large condor stacks with 10 angels each on his base. Seeing that my opponent was heading for a super-town, I started building a 4th-level Guild and went to break the Devil's Guard, so as not to let my opponent get too comfortable there. I lost two angels out of seven on the Devil's Guard, and thanks to the Grail, I saw that my opponent had split his army to deal with Tazar, first killing 40 harpies and 10 mighty gorgons on the outpost, and then Tazar with eight angels.
