It's high time to schedule all group stages. The abstract term "2 weeks per game," where one player plays one game, and the other might only finish all their games, just prolongs the group stage. Moreover, those who don't play their games quickly might end up arranging draws that suit them in the tournament standings. Such shenanigans, for example, happened in Favorites-6. It's much more convenient to create a schedule where there's one specific game in the group between player A and B, and C and D, for two weeks. After two weeks, a new schedule is made for the next round. This way, you can also penalize those who play poorly, and if there are, for example, 5 rounds in the group, the group stage will take 10 weeks without any extensions. Otherwise, in almost all tournaments with groups, the group stage has to be extended.
