The initiative of the archers is normal, the infantry has a slightly faster defensive initiative than the light dwarves; you can reduce it, and the offensive initiative is normal (they move often, but not far). You can reduce the initiative of the mage dwarves, and you can reduce the speed of the unupgraded faceless ones since they don't move in the shadows.
