Well, look, our black guy completely outmatched the other guy, like he was just playing with him.
If he was just playing, he wouldn't have missed the hits. Finn wounded him, and even more than once... You could attribute this to the fact that Kylo wasn't in top form after the previous blaster wound. But still, he uses the Force, and Finn is just a regular stormtrooper. Why couldn't Ren just take the lightsaber from him with the Force? Or push him away with the Force, like he did with Rey a few seconds earlier? Based on what I've seen before, he could have taken down a stormtrooper in dozens of ways in a couple of seconds, but in reality, he couldn't do anything to him for ten minutes. Rey is a different story; your arguments actually make sense there. Although, it's not entirely clear that if she's a master at stick fighting, it's not a given that she would easily adapt to a new, fundamentally different weapon, but that can still be forgiven and explained... Unless the outcome turned out to be boring in my opinion, because once again, it discredited the villain.
