Well, actually, Germans are all the tribes that settled in Western Europe, especially in Germany, France, and partly in Spain and Italy. Take all the tribes of the Great Migration: Franks, Swabians, Alemanni, Burgundians, Goths, Gepids. They are all Germans. The only exception was the Huns. So, the name Vercingetorix is quite a Germanic name.
