Regarding point 12 of the rules... Where did you find that it prohibits ANY discussion??

Point 12 of the rules:
Discussing the tournament during its course is PROHIBITED!!!

Discussing the tournament in a private message is also a discussion of the tournament. And discussing the tournament is prohibited. Therefore, discussing the tournament in a private message is prohibited.
The same logic can be applied to ANY other discussion.
