My position is this: if someone uses spreadsheets and says something like, "According to the spreadsheet, I only have one role left, so let's execute him!", then they should post the spreadsheet for everyone to see and explain why the other roles were ruled out. Otherwise, it should be considered leaking information obtained through their role and punished with a modkill.

I would say there's some truth to that. Although, Kosh also has a point – any conclusion based on a spreadsheet can formally be attributed to some kind of psychology (which is actually based on the fact that you know your role, or some information, but you present a different justification to the public). And that becomes... leaking information. In general, it's very, very difficult to play Mafia completely honestly, to be frank, if it's even possible at all. What can be done is to limit such things with rules, so that any unfairly obtained information is at least masked and therefore only taken into account by some players. Those who are more observant, at least in this particular case.
