Dreams.

I wanted to write not about a dream, but about a certain peculiarity of my dreams that I've noticed several times. It involves the elevators in multi-story buildings: in my dreams, they operate in an unusual way, instead of vertical movement, they perform diagonal movement. Moreover, the horizontal movement is stronger than the vertical one. It looks funny. In general, if you collect many such details, it becomes very interesting: it turns out that on a subconscious level, a person perceives reality completely differently than on a conscious level, which is reflected in dreams. For example, the author of a topic on Habr (or Geektimes?) about lucid dreaming noted in an article that electronic clocks behave unusually in dreams. They don't show the time, but some gibberish, and the author called this one of the best ways to check if you're asleep. That's how it is.
