“Ashes’ Will” – “A Sad Journey” [Campaign 2, Mission 2]
I meant high-level heroes, that is, when opponents have huge armies. And there, dealing a thousand or two damage is a piece of cake. For example, I'm currently playing a map as Kujin, she's level 29, and she has such an army that Wrath of the Horde deals 3500 damage, and she always goes first (Sharp Mind, Enchantment). So, if a low-initiative Necromancer with that Avatar is against her, she'll destroy it immediately, along with all the mana and about 200 points. That's what I mean.
Isolated cases where an opponent can easily kill an Avatar. There's no need to make things up. With the same logic, you could call Subdue and Berserk useless spells, because some units have immunity to mind control.
