After registration for this tournament is complete, participants send the organizer a list of Factions they will play with in each round via email.

Templates are always chosen from the full list of templates, and Factions are chosen from 8 (4 opponent Factions and 4 of your own) in the quarterfinals, from 6 (3 remaining opponent Factions and 3 remaining of your own) in the semifinals, and finally from 4 (2 remaining opponent Factions and 2 remaining of your own) in the final. Templates or Factions are chosen one at a time from the list of your own and opponent's until only one template or one Faction remains for each player. The player who placed lower in the preliminary stage chooses the templates and Factions first, and also chooses the color.
