How many elementals do you need to defeat on the river?

After the first group of elementals appears, a hint will appear telling you what to do. Read it in the quest log; if you don't figure it out, write to me in a private message, and I'll give you more specific instructions. Theoretically, you only need one battle, but if you defeat them "incorrectly," you can do it endlessly.

What kind of robot appears, and how do you respond to it correctly?

T-5? It's just an Easter egg for fun; you won't learn anything useful from it. The game has both useful and completely useless Easter eggs – all in the spirit of the good old Fallout.

I'm also stuck with the tear.

Look for three more. I'll lower this limit later; it was difficult to predict how many obelisks the player would need to see before figuring out what this place is.
