For as long as I've been playing on the forums, I've seen them resolve many controversial situations, and always fairly.
The latest example is the game between Darka and Gomunguls, which is being discussed in the neighboring thread. It's a complex case, I agree, but an experienced judge shouldn't have too much trouble figuring it out; the main thing is to pay attention to the details. However, Pit and Dirty disagreed, and, as I understand it, Dirty managed to convince Pit that his interpretation was incorrect.
If the question concerns judging, then definitely, they are not better, but more authoritative than others.
