Started with one restart from the opponent. In the end, I only got 12 Pirates from the start, nothing special in the starting zone, so I wanted to take a restart. To do that, I entered an external dwelling of Wyverns on day 1.1.1 with 12 Pirates, 7 Seamen, and single Fairies. I cleared the Wyverns without losses. Had to keep playing. On day 1.1.2, I approached the Swamp computer. It barricaded itself in the castle, bought up Wyverns. Again, I wanted to restart for this reason, but two heroes, including the starting Anabel, got Logistics. I ended my turn, the computer killed off my two heroes but stayed with an army in the castle.
On day 1.1.3, I thought I would definitely restart. In the castle, there turned out to be 29 Lizardmen, 2 Wyverns, and a dozen Gnolls under Vistan. But no, I took it with the loss of two Pirates. Had to play. The setup, I must say, was great.
In the first week, after the Swamp computer, I also killed a Castle player, couldn't reach the Barbarian; Minotaurs were blocking the Air Elementals. I built Nix in the Citadel. Anabel picked up a lot of good skills, but it won't be possible to level them up soon. I have 3 Air Elementals and a couple of Dragon Fly Hives.
On day 2.1.1, I played sloppily, losing 7 Pirates at Medusa Stores. Then I lost a few more troops, so on day 2.1.2, the Golem Factory with 3 Giants was tough. From it, I took Air Elementals and crushed the Barbarian computer. Then I split the army into two parts. Anabel with Pirates, Giants, and Nymphs went into the treasure zone. Cyclopes and upgraded Wyverns went to clean up objects on the respawn. Result – 20 Cyclopes, 15 Monks – with this army, Miriam went into another treasure zone. Anabel found a couple of Firebirds, 10 Cyclopes, quite a lot of experience, an external dwelling of Serpents (Hydras), a Resurrection Shrine. When Miriam hit hard blocks, an army was brought to her, she ran to a village, Anabel was bought there and took a Dragon Utopia. The first Dragon Utopia gave only a Red Orb, was taken without losses thanks to the found 30 Wyverns and Resurrection. Overall, the treasure zone turned out to be very good; there were about 15 Dragon Fly Hives, most of them near the road. At the start of the third week, I take another couple of Dragon Utopias here. They give everything needed – a Cape of 5th Level Magic, a Helm +6 Everything, Gloves. Then I go to the central treasure zone, where I grab the Tome of Earth. I pick up Dragon Fly Hives, Air Elementals, and on day 3.1.6, I come out to the opponent's respawn with a hundred Monks, 50 Cyclops Kings, Pirates, Serpents (Hydras), and small fry. I capture the capital; on day 3.1.7, the Tower, where Titans are built. And then – the opponent also has full control and Kyrre. A chase begins, in which everything was going badly for me. I sent a hero late to my last treasure zone; it was quite rich there, but I managed to grab little.
In the end, in the middle of the 4th week, I finally managed to push enough castles to reach Kyrre. I took out 12 Titans with Implosion; my Wyverns were blown up, Cyclopes were damaged, and they bought back. Again I lose, restore control over towns, but very stupidly give away my Castle, didn't have enough timer to move troops there... And there's an untaken Dragon Utopia there, which is very important, because Maretti didn't have that much gold either. However, that wasn't so important, because in the end I could have caught Kyrre again and killed her very important assistant, but I made a stupid mistake, didn't reach them, and also wasted my Dimension Door. Well, without Dimension Door, there were zero chances left, so I had to surrender.
The timer pressed me harder than the opponent :smile34:
Thank you for the game.
Thanks for playing.
I confirm. Had decent start with good skills on Jeremy and went for Tower cpu to build that town. Unfortunatly road was blocked by pack unicorns which delayed me some. But I could take them out late w1 after getting mass slow. Kyrre showed in tavern and I got ready to level her up week 2.
Early w2 I took con with 2 agnels which was all i could handle at the time. Everything went fine, I killed cpu players easily and split army between the 2 heroes to each go to a t-area.
Week 3 I could take 3 topes in t-area but they didnt give much for stats and army wasnt big. Opponent showed late week 3 with a huge army. Now I had to prevent him from taking over everything and get stronger at the same time. Boots, gloves and full control helped, but it was a very hard task with the timer running low all the time. I made 2 crusial mistakes standing in town where opponent could catch me. First time it cost 12 titans and 60 k gold, but I was lucky to escape (I had no clue which arts I was wearing since the timer ran out). Second time I was saved by Pit making a mistake under the timepressure and after that giving up.
If I could avoid mistakes I think I could have won in the long run, so im a little unhappy with the way the game ended, but it was very hard with the timepressure.
Despite being only a Large map mini nostalgia is very time consuming (especially on hota). Imo we should get more time.
Thanks for playing.
