I couldn't imagine a bigger nonsense, even if I tried very hard.
1) Why should you add a timer for yourself? On what basis, just because you want to? Phenomenal logic, or rather, its complete absence.
2) If you are very insistent on the option of controlling "doing nothing" for the opponent, it's easier to do. Let's say the opponent had 22 minutes at the time of the crash, and after loading, it became 30. The opponent makes a move without burning anything, and passes the turn after it is completed. You exit the game, if necessary (and I feel it will be), the opponent sends you his save after the move for FULL control. Then he waits 8 minutes and passes the turn. No third parties are required, the opponent's "doing nothing" is confirmed by loading the save earlier and comparing the actions. It's strange that such a simple method didn't occur to anyone, but instead, you're adding a timer for yourself, okay. I want to write "grief from intelligence," but it's clearly something else.
When discussing, YOUNG MAN, state the option and refrain from making judgments!
As an idea for resolving the situation with the crash, I think it's a good idea; it doesn't require the involvement of a judge. The time for the timer to run out was incorrectly calculated mathematically; it should be 30-22 = 8 minutes, plus the time for resuming the turn, 30 - when the turn was passed for the second time = a, 8+a.
And the player makes the save himself after the turn is passed to him. There is no need for the opponent to send any save.
I would like to hear the judges' answers and possibly get a formulation in the game rules regarding saves. Perhaps it is still too early, and a special topic is needed for a broader discussion.
