What can you do? Circumstances force you.

The age-old dilemma... On the one hand, you can become a malevolent dictator and almost guarantee the protection of your country from aggressors, but your own people, whom you are protecting, will essentially be reduced to the level of cattle. On the other hand, you can love your people, cherish and pamper them, and then some malevolent force will come and divide Arconia into three parts. And then... Hmm, but then nothing terrible will happen, which is funny. Well, one part will love science. Is that bad? No. The second will build communism. That's also a useful activity. And the third will enjoy unprecedented freedoms.
