Master, I have a question. Does distraction work against those who are trying to kill the Journalist? Does it neutralize the Journalist's ability once, or not?

Right now, I'm using distraction as a working version to prevent the Journalist from being targeted. But a couple of things are bothering me. Otherwise, the Journalist could come into play and subtly hint at who he was trying to target with his ability... And that's it, it would turn out that this person is Mafia. But the Master shouldn't object.
