In the first generation, I got a "kill everything" starter set – 52 elves on level 112, a Necropolis and 2 mini-cons, but my opponent's "intuition kicked in," and he took level 113. Then I restarted three times; each time, the starting conditions were decent in terms of troops and money, but only one primary con was found on level 113. After that, I gathered troops and looked for control points; the nearest Dragon Utopia was far away or a week's journey. Towards the end, the Necropolis player found one not too far away. He tried to take it with his main force (there was also a large treasure chest there) and was caught by Craig with full control over his main army. It all happened because of rushing – I could have held out with a scout and escaped tactically; my stats and army were 1.5-2 times better, but what good are they if you make mistakes...
I confirm that the first distribution had an average layout, without external dwellings, but there were 2 cons and Tazar, scarce resources and maximum units on all paths. All subsequent restarts were complete garbage, but the opponent saved me when we finally started; a more or less acceptable layout appeared: an Angel dwelling in two cells from the castle, guarded by Hobgoblins (level 100-249), 2 archer dwellings, and a monk dwelling. I deployed all this during the first week + Craig Hack with excellent upgrades and around level 12 at the beginning of the second week. I found one con and hive; the con was minimal, and things were bad financially, so even without horses in the first week, but with monks, I found a Town Portal scroll. In weeks 2-3, I looked for cons and hives, finding a couple of cons, and upgraded Craig: Armor, Offense, Earth, Air, Wisdom, Logistics, Pathfinding, Luck. In week 3, I placed angels in my home castle, but on day 137, the opponent (Kirr) reached it and captured it. He went to a Dragon Utopia, where he found Dimension Door, took it almost without losses. The lack of wells and the small number of knowledge points for Craig hindered him. He retook his capital and seized several castles. Then there were options; the opponent didn't use Dimension Door, while I had both Dimension Door and Town Portal, as well as gloves and boots. I saw Kirr without an army in his home castle – used Town Portal to a nearby castle, then two Dimension Doors, and that was it. I believe I had options even without this mistake by the opponent; I believe in the power of Craig Hack =) Thanks for the game
