So, if the Grail was previously banned from/for (underline the correct one) cheaters, and now NDMod sets passwords on saves, what is the point of the ban?
And in anticipation of a possible question, if you say that NDMod can be hacked, then the question is: if someone figures out how to hack saves, will they bother with the Grail? Maybe they will take other information from the game? Resources, the location of the opponent on the map, and so on?
And thirdly, I don't really believe that password-protected saves can be hacked, especially if the password is not 777, 123, 111, and so on, but a password generated by the NDMod itself.
Anything can be hacked! Why and what a cheater will use – come up with any explanation, and it will work. Lider1
scorpIf you really want to play with the Grail or some other rules, can't you find a decent opponent and agree with them?!
That's not a solution. You can agree without rules, of course. The question is about a rigid, meaningless rule. A systematic approach is needed.I think it's a solution, and if not, then should I just not play? The systematic approach is a matter of priorities, what you want to get from Heroes of Might and Magic 3, and it's up to you to decide whether to adapt or create your own, organize a tournament according to "rigid, meaningless rules" or come up with your own and find an opponent who agrees with them. The Grail without a Castle and Conflux is quite an ordinary thing. Which you still have to get.
Interesting question, it's more about testing it in real matches. I think worthy bonuses for these factions (Castle and Conflux), besides the increase in the Conflux (6 units of level 7) would be... Lider1
Let's think about what the Grail is? ...
The Grail is one artifact, one item that gives all the described bonuses, while the Legion Statue is a collection of bonuses + you still have to kill computer opponents who have built 2000+2000+1000 gold – it's not very comparable even in terms of the time it takes to implement, as the statue can be dug up on the first/second day
