First, this is an experimental tournament, meaning the rules are being written as we go. I remember that in Terra dei Demoni, I even replaced the template during the tournament, and that was normal.

Second, I made all (or almost all) of the changes during the first round, and the rules have not changed since then.

Third, players only return in the order of replacing players who have suddenly dropped out. That is, the total number of slots remains unchanged, and the tournament is not extended. Therefore, for those who are going through the losers' bracket (and the main contenders for victory usually pass the first rounds without defeats), there is no difference - there will be a couple more games in the losers' bracket instead of those results ...

And fourth, no one was dissatisfied with this rule. Only The_ expressed dissatisfaction, but not with the rule itself, but with the way it was applied.

In general, in my opinion, it is possible to change the rules during a tournament in the following cases:

1) An error or omission in the rules is discovered.
2) There is no injured party (both disputants agree, or the dispute has not yet arisen).
3) There is no other way to resolve the controversial situation.

In the case under consideration, none of the points are met.
