They open, say, 10 games. In games where their chances are slim, they hide. But where there's a chance of winning, they actively pursue it. It's a foolproof strategy.
And your statement seems to imply that someone is looking at the situation objectively, as if they're revealing the cards and seeing whether it's in their favor or not. Unless all these 10 games are at the 125+ stage... Nonsense.
From afar, I'll say that even if I win a game (in my opinion), I can ignore the opponent if I find them unpleasant to interact with, either in communication or in the game. What's the point of arguing, bothering the judges, and for what? For the sake of some character you don't even want to hear about? IMHO.
There are two options:
1 - Play in tournaments, minimizing the number of casual games, or only play with "trusted" contacts.
2 - Look at yourself, because sometimes people don't want to communicate not because they're rude, but because you have bad breath, and their upbringing prevents them from pointing it out.
