Changing anything on the Castle market is pointless.
If Scorpiks could reach the enemy in one turn...
Yes, magic doesn't affect Dragons... but they are also so expensive that you can easily do without them on a not-so-difficult map.
The number of arrows for Medusas is limited...
The Eyes are a strength. There is no penalty in melee combat.
It's a pity that slow development negates all these advantages...
All spells work well on the lovely and beautiful Dungeon Castle... Berserk, Amnesia, Blindness...
I think it's generally silly to choose a hero based on their secondary skill.
Let's go through this in order -))
1. The Tactics skill - and the Scorpiks will reach the enemy -))
2. The number of arrows is indeed limited, but it rarely happens that the entire supply is exhausted at the beginning of the battle... besides, in melee combat, Medusas can turn enemies to stone - isn't that helpful??-))))
3. Slow development - only because it can sometimes be difficult to build the Eyes in the first week at maximum difficulty. Building and upgrading all creatures (except Dragons) is often easier than, for example, upgrading Vampires... and you don't need to upgrade everything at the beginning - archers are archers - I think upgrading Harpies is important, and that's it! An army of 80 Troglodytes, 30 Harpy-Witches, 20 regular Eyes, and 10 un-upgraded Medusas is enough to clear a significant part of the territory.... and such an army can be achieved by the 3rd week for sure -)) Earth magic is ESSENTIAL (it appears often) and a hero with Resurrection...... by the way, why is Resurrection considered silly?????????-(((.... in my opinion, one of the best heroes in Heroes is Jeddite....

Hmm, Dungeon. A strong city, the weakest level 1 units are the coolest (very debatable, I'm ready to argue!) level 7, the Guild of Mages has good heroes... what else do you need, the archers are really weak... A good Castle, but difficult for beginners, I would advise them to choose Stronghold or Castle.
Regarding level 7, it's really debatable -))
What's weak about the archers? Their stats are quite good. If you take the Eyes, the ratio of growth-attack-defense-health is quite attractive, the speed is not the worst... I like Medusas primarily because of their petrification ability, although it doesn't work on everyone and not always, but when you play against a human, they are wary of attacking them in melee without a good reason -)))))
