of course, you shouldn't go overboard:). if the opponent is trustworthy, let them disconnect 100 times.:)
but there are types of players who always have something happen (in every game), after which they need to be given a win. and if you don't, there will be such a fuss that I don't know...:)
I also often have connection problems. It varies with different people: with some, I consistently finish a game, and with others, there are 2-3 disconnects in an hour. And there are many reasons for this, and believe me, among all these reasons, there has never been a case of cheating or some other unfair play.
1. I'm sure many play over Wi-Fi, which in itself implies packet loss, especially if there are walls, neighbors, and electrical appliances being turned on/off.
2. Interaction with different internet providers. With some, the signal is excellent, and with others, at the same moment, the Hamachi indicator shows a downward trend...
3. No one has canceled out a power surge. And if a laptop can handle it, the router may interrupt the session.
4. Children, mothers/wives with a vacuum cleaner, a noisy neighbor who flipped the wrong switch, a blue screen, overheating...
I'm saying that the initial assumption that you are being cheated when the connection drops is either a lack of respect for the opponent or an overblown self-esteem fighting against complexes.
If you have any suspicions, write down the person's nickname and the dates of the saves. If, after the game, after reviewing the saves for those days, it turns out that hives, cons, or strongholds are being taken, then YES. It is worth avoiding such a person. But a disconnect in itself is just an annoying factor, and it usually annoys both players...
PS I most often experience disconnects either when it's my turn to move (packet loss) or during the opponent's turn, and in this case, even if I'm not a "trustworthy opponent," there shouldn't be any complaints, right?
