Crimea

Dnaor, the Anglo-French did not conquer Crimea. The situation was quite different. Specifically, it was a war between Russia and Turkey, which threatened to strengthen the former and lead to the collapse of the latter. Our European colleagues did not particularly want the emergence of a multitude of Slavic states in the Balkans and the unrestricted rule of the Empire in the Black Sea, so they helped Turkey. And Crimea was simply a convenient place for landing.
