No one was nerfed; in Hammers of Fate, there were overpowered red units that dominated everyone. In Tribes of the East, these red units were made into alternate upgrades of regular units, and thus were rebalanced (the draining ability at level 7 equals death to all living things ;)). RedHaven created a mod that restores everything to its original state. That's how it was.
