I'll start with the restarts. We took 111 each. Then Gunnar comes to me, who gets offense at 111 and moves the log, one ГО, and rusty ones at that. But at 112 I just get slaughtered by 4 shooter stacks (leaving 19 archers, 7 elves, and 12 upgraded Centaurs, with another guard of 20+ Chieftains ahead). After much deliberation, I take a restart. Maretti asks, why did you take a restart? I say, a bunch of shooter stacks, almost no army left. He says, you could have waited another day and taken it, but oh well, this saved us a bit of time. I don't understand what he means, since I already took 111, but alright.
The next deal comes in great, except that it's 3 days to Inferno. I have Gunnar and Moandor, +1 speed cleared. At 112 I safely reveal Moandor (just to "demoralize" the opponent). And he takes 113. I just can't understand anything... I write, you already took 111, didn't you? He replies, we're playing 3 restarts at 111 or 2 restarts at 114 total. Well, considering he tried to warn me about this, I just didn't get it, given it was 2 AM, I didn't really resist much. We started playing.
Good start. 18 archers with fortification.
111 I break through into the Inferno zone.
112 I take almost all mines except the sulfur one, can't reach the castle.
113 I take the castle.
114 I break through 12 trolls for the prison and chest, they give Solmyr level 5, I head into the Castle zone.
115 I take the Castle, break into the Dungeon zone, build a chain for the passage to Tower.
116 I take the Dungeon, break the box behind a horde of Dwarves, a few steps short of Tower.
117 I take Tower, move Kyrre there, take the box, 110 caps there. 2500 wasted... Solmyr steals ГО from the creatures (also checks for GS), but I forgot to buy him out... it was almost 3 AM.
Week result - horses at home in the Citadel, Inferno 1245 + GM2.
Then from 121 a boring process of demoning begins. Boring because it went with only one unpleasant moment when I lost the horse in the Naga bank. Upgrading to GM5. Got portal and meteor shower. At GM5 I got sacrifice, which disappointed me, since there was an option to just jump over the second ГО with Dimension Door. Kyrre only has basic earth though. The most interesting part started at 125.
125. It was the fifth hour of the night. And Stierlitz was pondering a plan to destroy the Reichstag. Built double mana in the Dungeon. Then I thought, okay, I'll break out from the Dungeon into Inferno, run into the +1sp boost, because sp=1, speed up and stand near the ГО. Next turn I'll upgrade the demons and break the bears. Seems all good. I break against the Monks. I enter Inferno to buy out Kyrre, but then I just freaking froze.THERE'S NO TAVERN. My scream of What the f*ck woke up my room and the next one since I'm living in a dorm right now. People came in to ask if everything's okay. Yeah... it's okay. But it gets better.
126 I look at the opponent's timer, they passed the turn 52 seconds before the end. I think, for sure they broke into the center. Especially since I thought their exit was straight.
I gather all my power, leaving only Pits and a couple of Pegasi. I go to hit the ГО. ГО 35 bears. I have 30 Elves, 82 demons, 4 War Horses, a few Pegasi. I have Blind and regular Slow. When one bear, woken from sleep, remains, I have 30 Elves and 76 demons left. I shoot, 4 Michaels remain from the stack. And then, of course, they get DAMN MORALE and at my scream Oh come on, what the f*cking hell the entire dorm collective started slowly gathering. At the beginning of the 6th hour of the morning.
Well, whatever. 12 Elves and 76 demons left.
Next ГО Bone Dragons. The thought crosses my mind, shouldn't I check with the weaklings on GS? Nah, a stupid idea, says someone in my head. I bring up the Pegasi and Imps as meat and attack. Autobattle killed 16 regulars and 5 upgraded but wiped me. I'm like, hey, I have the book! Ha, let's go!
36 dragons with 5 GS. GS flies and immediately kills my meat shield. I cast Slow on the upgraded ones, hmm 9 speed. I attack with archers, demons, yay luck! I hit, 1 dragon remains. Good, I think, I'm going. And then disaster strikes. One damn upgraded dragon, for some reason I don't understand, didn't hit the Pegasi or the Imps acting as meat. It decided to suicide itself on the demon. And naturally cast Curse of Old Age. And then my Pegasi crap themselves. And all the dragons immediately as one attack the demons. At my scream Motherf*cker even the dorm management came running, shouting I'll evict you. From the entire stack, only 42 demons remain. With trembling hands, I press the Tab key and type the letters gg. After that I checked the opponent's situation. Despite the advantage in combat stats for Octavia and her having expert Offense and Defense, only GM2 was built. Timer was running out. And if I had attacked a day later with upgraded demons, everything could have turned out differently. A damn bitter defeat. Because this was probably one of the best games I've ever played. Almost no mistakes. But nothing to be done here!
