What's needed from the team captains? The theoretical coach has determined that the teams are evenly matched. I would suggest starting and playing with a completely random pairing in each match. In this case, there's no need to wait for the judges to determine the pairings for each round and play based on readiness.
But there's something tricky written in the rules:
When forming player pairings for each round, the following is taken into account:
1. All ships of the participating teams will be displayed on an improvised battlefield for visualizing the tournament standings.
2. Each player has a certain number of decks at their disposal, depending on their skill.
3. A match or the selection of a specific player pairing for each round occurs randomly, but at the same time, it depends on the list of players that the team captain submits to the tournament judge for each round (the list must include all team members for each round). It is not necessary that each player plays against every player on the opposing team.
4. The number of games in each round is determined as follows:
- a player with one deck against a player with one deck, a player with one deck against a player with two decks - 1 game, i.e., it is enough to win/lose/draw once;
- a player with one deck against a player with three decks, a player with two decks against a player with two decks, a player with two decks against a player with three decks - 2 games, i.e., if 2 games are lost/won, this is a loss/win, respectively; in case of a draw, a draw is awarded for the round.
That is, the rounds must be determined, and the pairings for the games must be defined. And it wouldn't hurt for the judges to approve the team rosters during the process. And I don't fully understand the deck system yet - if the judges say the pairing, I'll just be ready and not question it.
But Judges, please start the tournament and let us know who we can play against. Also, it would be nice to update the rules - with the changes that were determined during the discussion (new version of the mod, etc.)
