Actually, yes, there is a lot of randomness. Ideally, such instances should be replaced with mathematically equivalent but more consistent ones. For example, the killing of the orc leader by someone who comes to kill him (25% chance). Let there be a guaranteed block for the would-be assassin on the next night, for example.
