First of all, it is necessary to clearly separate OFFICIAL TOURNAMENTS – with prizes, ratings, and rules – from UNOFFICIAL, fan-made tournaments without taking all of this into account.

In my opinion, rating points should be awarded for fan-made tournaments, provided that certain restrictions are observed, because if we don't award rating points, we might end up with no such tournaments at all...
