Due to the poor resource distribution and road network, the game turned out to be extremely slow-paced. The Guardian of the Grove in the form of fairytale dragons also didn't contribute to a quick resolution.
At the top, there were medium roads, a lot of scattered gold + 3 crypts totaling 10K. On the starting location, the significant objects were only a stable, troglodyte and harpy nests, and minotaurs together with an artifact behind a horde of medusas (which I never took) and a hive behind necoknights together with a +4 helmet. One road led to the lift, the other to the Guardian of the Grove. There was also a path through rough terrain to the lava for elves or snipers. I realized all this around the middle of the first week.
On day 115, I tried to break into the Underground, but there were grand creatures below. Okay, let's clear the starting location. I took a scholar and got learning. I decided to level up Moon Magic just in case.
On day 123, I took the only mini-hive, maxed out Tactics, and on day 125, I took the Underground Necropolis.
On day 127, I entered the Treasury, maxed out Earth Magic, and spent the entire third week clearing it. I didn't get the Shakti artifact. In the Treasury, the only troops were mini-hives and mini-cons. Pandora for the entire Earth Magic with a basic Wisdom stat - that's disappointing. On day 136, I exited the Treasury onto the opponent's secondary location and took it the next day.
Then, seeing a speed artifact on the opponent's starting location, I went there, but Tazar got there first. However, I took a Castle with a lot of unbought troops without a fight. On day 143, after weakening Tazar's troops with Moon Magic, I attacked with my main army. Victory.
Thanks for the game!
