Why such harsh penalties for ordinary in-game violations?

Ordinary? We need to get rid of this stereotype. The violation by player GUNAR was revealed only after a complaint from his opponent. Naturally, once a violation is found, it cannot be ignored. The disqualification was not issued without reason. We discussed the case internally. If anyone wishes, they always have the option to appeal to a higher authority - the AC (Arbitration Committee). 2 other participants were already in the lower bracket, so for them, it's essentially the same as a disqualification. BUT, simply awarding a technical defeat does not provide the necessary emphasis on the action committed. The interpretation of violations is not specified in the forum rules; its justification is based on the personal views of the hosts and judges on the situation!
