A program for calculating the strength of the guard on random maps in Heroes of Might and Magic III, called H3CalcGuards.

This is already called degradation. Previously, people studied templates to understand, but now they ask to "boost the AI," so they don't have to do anything at all.

Can you use a logarithmic ruler? Can you multiply on an abacus? Because everyone used to be able to... where is the world heading...?

In Heroes, degradation is only the loss of interest in the game; everything else is the development of specific skill areas. If one area is "closed off" by programs, then development shifts to another area.
