I just tried it – it turned into a massacre, and my hand got tired. The editor, for some reason, doesn't allow setting 9999; it resets to 4000 (for both Life Drain and Crystal). When recalculating mana, it came out to 3800 for this legion of crystals. With a power of 99, Armageddon removes 8745 HP per slot. Round 131. With Life Drain, 4800 mana should be enough. Considering that with a skill of 99, a hero can have 3960 mana, it's all feasible. But there won't be enough for the Azure ones – unless you clear them out with Berserk, but unlike the crystals, they position themselves cunningly all over the field, so you can't target more than 2 slots. I didn't try to break through with Blindness – it might work. But that would be a different task.
I tried it with Life Drain – in principle, you can manage even more efficiently with them, and there should be enough mana. But you need to conduct the battle more carefully, so as not to confuse which spell to cast on which round – it takes too long to fiddle with. Dealing with 9999 might even be easier than with 4000. The only question is, how do you set them in the editor?
