I don't play online because I don't have time to depend on anyone; Heroes is just a hobby that occupies my free time.

And it's enjoyable to fight monsters or play against the AI, to relieve stress if I don't make it to the gym or kickboxing, or to see my girlfriend.

I understand. But if you wanted to, I think you could. You can also "poke around" with some other person. Set aside some time for it without harming everything else. If you play for 2-4 minutes per turn, for example. Regarding the dependence, you still spend time playing against the computer. Unless, of course, we're talking about a 15-20 minute game while commuting by subway or car.

No one is forcing you to grind every day; you can relax once a week. That's what I think.
